Panasonic SR-G10G 450-Watt 5-1/2-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer Review
I was mainly looking for a right size rice cooker which will not only serve our family of 4 (Dad/Mom and 2 kids) daily, but would also be sufficient for 3-4 additional guests as occasionally required. Panasonic SR-G104-450 5-1/2-Cup (uncooked rice) is right for the purpose. Cooks rice evenly with no mess. The only improvement I think Panasonic would have done was to keep the “Warm” indicator light (once the rice is done) Green or some other distinctive color. The “Cook” indicator light is Red, and “Warm” indicator light is Orange, therefore very confusing to distinguish between the two to know if rice is done. Good product overall.

Have owned this rice cooker approximately three months. So far I have found it easy to use (this is my first one) and the results have always been very good. Typically I use brown rice, but have also used white and other whole grain rices with good results. Also, have steamed vegetables several times and they came our PERFECT! I find it easy to clean, unlike some other reviewers. I especially like that I can set it up and then forget about it until it’s time to eat. Hasn’t let me down yet. Also, like being able to cook things like steel cut oats overnight to awake to a perfect porridge without having to stand over the stove stirring every few minutes for half an hour. Always thought rice cookers were silly things that took up space, but have changed my mind since owning this one.

Zojirushi NP-KAC10 5-1/2-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer with Induction Heating System Review
I use this rice cooker once or twice a day. Everything (brown rice, sushi, steel cut oatmeal, sweet sticky rice, etc) comes out perfectly. I would never be able to cook such perfect rice on the stove. I thought that I made a mistake of not buying 10 cup model, but 2-3 cups is what I end up cooking for a family of 4 (and we have the leftovers). I am so impressed with Zojirushi, would definitely buy their products in the future. The trick is also to buy good quality rice from Asian grocery stores. Love it and don’t understand why so many of my non asian friends never use one. At this point this seems like #1 appliance to have. I have to stop my love poem to Zojirushi here
