We eat quite a bit of brown rice and this particular appliance occupies a prominent place on our kitchen counter. This cooker can cook more than just brown rice, but we use it almost exclusively for that. The pressure style of this cooker cooks several cups of brown rice in 20 minutes and then keeps it warm. We haven’t had any problems with it. We learned exactly how much water to use for the type of rice we use and we can count on it every time. We picked it up at Costco and have used it for a year. Money well spent on a kitchen appliance.
